Ministry of Tourism clarifies tourist refusal of entry to Mount Nebo

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities commented in regard of the news cirucalting about the refusal of entry of tourists at the site of Mount Nebo in Madaba, clarifying that the opening times to archeological sites in the Kingdom is set from 8 am to 6 pm. The Ministry stated that these arrangements are implemented all around the world.

The instructions include the closing of the ticket office at touristic locations one hour prior to closing time.

The Ministry and the management of the Mount Nebo site confirm that they are fully prepared to facilitate the entry of visitors and tourist groups who have no option but to travel late, provided that they coordinate in advance prior to arrival to the sites; adding that the Ministry has dealt with many cases in this regard.

Mount Nebo is one of the main historical sites in the Kingdom and one of the Christian pilgrimage sites accredited by the Vatican. Its administration adheres to working hours and entry times instructions like any other site in the Kingdom.
