His Majesty King Abdullah II accepted the credentials of a number of newly appointed ambassadors to Jordan.

And while few of the ambassadors were appointed by their countries and arrived in Amman several months ago, they presented their credentials today. It is not unusual for such ceremonies to take place with more than one ambassador at a time.

His Majesty accepted the ambassadors of the following countries;

  • Lukas Gasser, filling the position as Switzerland's official ambassador to Jordan.
  • Akmad Attah Sakkam, filling the position as Philippines' official ambassador to Jordan.
  • Amir Weissbrod, filling the position as Israel's official ambassador to Jordan.
  • Aziz Al-Dihani, filling the position as Kuwait's official ambassador to Jordan.
  • Al-Habib Abbas, non-resident ambassador of the Comoros .
  • Jhabindra Prasad Aryal, non-resident ambassador of Nepal.

Both the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and Chief of the Jordanian Royal Court, Yousef Issawi, attended the ceremony which took place earlier today, on September 2, 2018, in Zahran Palace, Amman.
