It feels like summer has only just properly begun in Jordan, as we’ve had a moderate (temperature-wise) few months since the beginning of summer.

Most days were cool and crisp, perfect for evening walks. Some nights were even a bit chilly and humid.
However, high temperatures are forecast for this weekend and next week.

In fact, while it’s 36 degrees Celsius in Amman today, the weather is expected to get even hotter starting Saturday. Meanwhile in the Dead Sea, Aqaba and the Jordan Valley, temperatures are set to rise to almost 40 degrees Celsius.

Come the end of next week, weather forecasters are predicting that temperatures will remain the same, therefore recording the first increase in temperature for summer 2018.

Take care of yourself during this time by avoiding going out in the strong sun during day, unless you have to, and by keeping hydrated throughout the day.
