A special Israeli team from the “Naturalization of Bedouins Authority,” along with Israeli police officers, forced a Palestinian newlywed couple to demolish their home just one week after they got married.

The young groom was made to destroy his home in the Wadi Al Ni’am village in the Negev region with the help of his family, his brother told local Palestinian media.

“Destroying my brother’s home has taken away the joy we were feeling over his wedding. Israeli police continuously harassed and put pressure on us over the past period, while threatening to issue us excessives fines for living here,” the brother said.

More than 13,000 people live in the village, many of whom were displaced from their original villages and forced to move to Wadi Al Ni’am in 1953.
