His Majesty King Abdullah II sent a cable on Sunday, August 19, 2018 to UN Secretary General, António Guterres, expressing condolences over the passing away of former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan.

The King paid tribute to Annan's positive efforts in human rights and global peace.

Kofi Atta Annan was a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations between 1997 and 2006. Annan passed away at the age of 80 on August 18, 2018, in Bern, Switzerland.
