The Centre for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement announced that Syria and Jordan have mutually expressed their keenness to collaborate in re-opening the road passages between them.
Jordan plans to initiate talks with Syria to discuss the prospect of the Kingdom’s participation in the Syrian infrastructure rehabilitation process.
Established in Syria by the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Centre for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement started its work on July 9, 2018 where it aims to help refugees from abroad to return back to Syria and help those who are internally displaced to return back to their homes.
The aim is to improve the overall living conditions for Syrians and to create a much favorable return to the refugees by facilitating their journey back home as well as restoring the country's infrastructure. The Center works on “restoring civil infrastructure including socially necessary facilities,” said the head of the Centre, Major-General Alexei Tsygankov, on August 8, 2018.
