Another earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was felt near the northwest of Irbid tonight at exactly 10:45 pm local time.

Head of the Jordan Seismological Observatory (JSO), Mahmoud Al Qaryouti, said that the kingdom is witnessing a seismic activity reaching northern parts of Jordan, particularly centralizing around Lake Tiberias.

This measures as the strongest out of the earthquakes recorded today, which ranged between 3.2 and 4.2 on the Richter scale.

Qaryouti told Roya that “the recent earthquake was evidently felt by people residing in Irbid.”

The kingdom has been hit by a series of earthquakes since the morning and no damages or casualties have been reported.
