If you decide to go on a last-minute Eid break this weekend, only to realize that your passport has expired, don’t panic: the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) announced on Saturday that its airport and city branches will be open during Eid break.

The Department said that their offices at Queen Alia International Airport will be operational around the clock, while their Tabarbour office in Amman will open from 3:30 pm until 8:30 pm (local time) during the three-day holiday.

The CSPD opened its doors at Queen Alia Airport in November 2017. The move was warmly welcomed by Jordanians, especially those with dual passports or citizens living abroad.

Other services provided by the Department, including issuing a national ID and birth and death certificates, will be available as per usual.
