Four Palestinians were killed and hundreds more were injured by Israeli snipers on Friday during demonstrations near the Gaza border fence.
Among the injured was AFP photojournalist Mohammad Al-Baba; he was shot in the leg and his injury is said to be moderate.
Thousands of Palestinians rushed to the streets of Gaza to protest Naksa Day (June 5), the day which marks Israel's victory in the 1976 Six-Day War.
Naksa translates into “setback,” and the war resulted in Israel taking over the West Bank and Gaza as well as East Jerusalem.
