Jordan’s Social Security Corporation (SSC) encouraged the public to stay updated and contact the corporation via its Facebook (FB) page in a press release issued on Wednesday.

This came as part of the corporation’s awareness campaign that aims to familiarize citizens with social security legislation and recent studies and statistics, and answer questions.

In addition to receiving inquiries and feedback, the PB page has recently experienced an increase in engagement after posting a social security fact on a daily basis during Ramadan.

According to the press release over 51 thousand people have liked the page, where around 65 percent were male, mostly in the 25-34 age range.

The corporation disclosed that the page receives an average of 80 questions and complaints per day, regarding, among other inquiries, whether employers had paid security installments, periods of payment and retirement payouts.

The page has posted over 90 times since the beginning of the year, mostly excerpts from news, awareness leaflets, and guidance messages issued by the media center.

In addition to elaborating on the rights and obligations of insured citizens and their employers, the SSC has been encouraging Jordanian expatriates to enroll, which is voluntary, by connecting through the official pages of Jordanian communities in various countries.
