Israeli warplanes hit on early Thursday what it called Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip after rockets were fired from Gaza towards the city of Sederot near the borders.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said one person was injured.

The bombardments came two days after 60 Palestinians were killed, and hundreds were injured by Israeli borders near the Gaza borders commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, and opposing the opening of the American embassy in Jerusalem.

Ivanka Trump, daughter of the U.S. President Donald Trump Donald Trump, along with her husband Jared Kushner, main advisor of Trump, led on Monday an official delegation that opened the embassy in Jerusalem.

Demonstrations in Gaza started on March 30 after Hamas and other militant groups called for them, and provided free transportations to the borders. Since then, more than 100 people were killed.
