Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared on Monday three days of mourning, to begin tomorrow after more than 50 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces near the Gaza borders.

Abu Mazen described the US Embassy in Jerusalem as a "new American settlement."

Demonstrations in Gaza kicked off in the early hours of Monday morning, as thousands of Palestinians protested against the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

The opening of the US embassy marked the 70th anniversary of Nakbeh Day.
