Tens of Jordanians joined a procession on Friday in the Downtown of the capital city, Amman, to protest in solidarity with the peaceful Palestinian demonstrators who, for the third week, headed to the Gaza borders and several parts of the West Bank as part of the “Great Return March”.

The solidarity procession started from the Husseini Mosque after Friday prayers with the aim to show support for Palestinians and their right of return. According to the organizers, it also decried the decision to relocate the US embassy to Jerusalem.

Meanwhile in Palestine, thousands hit the streets to raise the Palestinian flags and burn the flag of the occupying power as a form of resistance against the decade-long blockade imposed on Gaza and assertion of Palestinians’ right of return.

Hamas and other Palestinian factions called earlier last month for peaceful demonstrations near the borders which started on March 30, marking the Palestinian Land Day.
