According to the director of the Crossings and Borders in the Palestinian Authority, Nathmi Muhanna, Allenby Bridge border crossing between Jordan and Palestine will be open around the clock during weekdays starting from June 3 until Sept. 15, 2018, Wafa news agency reported.

As for Fridays and Saturdays, the crossing will operate for three hours during the morning and remain closed for the rest of the day.

On the Jordanian side, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced on Tuesday the bridge crossing operation schedule from March 30 until April 6, 2018. The PSD media department said that on April 5 the crossing will operate from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Even though the crossing will be operating until 3 p.m., the last bus will leave from the Jordanian side at 11:30 a.m.

Additionally, the following dates are exceptions to the aforestated schedule:

March 30-31: shipping movement will be suspended and the crossing will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
April 1-5: shipping movement will be allowed from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. and the border will be open until 12 p.m.
April 5-6: shipping movement will be suspended and the crossing.

The border crossing, also known as King Hussein or Karameh crossing, operates under the control of Israeli authorities and is the only gateway Palestinians have to the world.Thousands coming from the West Bank and Gaza cross it on a daily basis.

As travelers had persistently complained of the long lines and delays on the Israeli side, especially during the summer and holidays, Jordan recently adopted a new system that will allow travelers to book early reservations which aimed to make trips easier and more efficient.
