A video showing a fight between a Jordanian man and a traffic police officer went viral on social media on Tuesday. The video does not show the beginning of the confrontation therefore what prompted the fight is still unknown.

In the video the officer slaps the driver while he is still seated in the car and attempts to pull him out forcefully.

The video is taken by the female in the passenger seat next to the driver and is heard voicing her contempt for the actions of the officer.

He asked the woman to stop recording the video but she refused saying: “All this [the fight] is recorded. This is not allowed, you are supposed to regulate traffic.”

Roya has not confirmed the details of the video and attempts to contact officials in the Public Department were not successful as no one has responded to the incident.
