Israeli forces attacked a school in the Palestinian town of Tuqu, southern West Bank with tear gas grenades, Middle East Monitor reported citing Palestinian news agency WAFA.

According to local sources, more than 10 tear gas grenades were fired at the school which lead the school staff to close all doors in order to prevent Israeli soldiers from entering.

WAFA reported Israeli forces are always present near the school which makes it difficult for students to pursue their education.

Israeli soldiers firing tear gas at schools in the West Bank is a regular occurence. Two weeks ago a number of students at Anata Primary school in Jerusalem were injured after the school was targeted and with tear gas.
