A 17-year-old student was shot during a fight in Abu Nsair area, Amman on Wednesday, according to a security source.

The source said that the fight had broken out near a school where the offender called friends to the scene who possessed a gun.

The source also added that the fight was based on a family feud as the attackers are related to the victim.

The victim, born in 2001, was immediately transferred to a hospital but is in critical condition.

The Security Department urges social media users to refrain from sharing videos depicting the victim.

One of the attackers has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.

Earlier this week, a shooting incident took place at a school in Amman, where a 14-year-old shot his schoolmate by accident.
