Amman Municipality in cooperation with Central Traffic Department has announced the implementation of a number of roadblocks and detours across Amman. The inconvenience will be ameliorated by the presence of traffic police officers on site who will provide drivers with alternative routes.

The director of the joint task force, engineer Mohammad Al Fauri, stated that bus rapid transit construction is the reason behind the closure of the right lane from Al Shahid street heading to Queen Rania street.

The close down will be from Friday dawn until Saturday morning. Traffic will be diverted in the direction of Sports City Circle.

King Abdullah II Street will be closed in both directions for the purpose of installing a footbridge at the site of King Hussein Park. For drivers coming from Shaab intersection to Khalda intersection traffic will be diverted to Saed Kheir street followed by a right turn to Al Aayan Street then a left turn toward Bahjat At Talhouni street and then returning to King Abdulla street.

The close down will be from Friday dawn to 10 am.

Ahmad Suleiman An-Nejdawi Street will be closed from Friday dawn to 12 noon. The reason for the closure of the tunnel is rainwater drainage pipe repair and installment.

For drivers coming from Al Dur Almanthour traffic light in the direction of Al Kilo intersection or those coming from Alkalouti traffic light in the direction of Muhammad Sayl Al Husban Street will need to take Ismael Hijazi street and then take Medina Street in the direction of Waha Circle.
