A 14-year-old Palestinian girl was arrested in the West Bank by Israeli soldiers and was sent to the Gaza Strip, an NGO said on Wednesday.

Named only as Ghada, the teenager was reportedly deported from Jerusalem for not having a permit while visiting the city with her family.

Ghada is from Al-Ram village, a few miles north of Jerusalem, however, her father is reportedly originally from Gaza.

The Israeli human rights organization, HaMoked, said the girl was under arrest for three days, and was told she would be dropped off at a checkpoint near her hometown, but instead was taken to the Erez crossing into Gaza.

Abir Jubran, Ghada’s lawyer said no one knows when she will be allowed to go back to the West Bank and she has never been to Gaza and does not know anyone there.

Jubran added that she has epilepsy, and that the stressful conditions she is currently going through, might lead to serious health deteriorations.

According to HaMoked, 27 people were deported from the West Bank to Gaza in 2017.
