The number of gas cylinders distributed in the Kingdom on Thursday has reached more than 200,000 so far, according to the Gas Stations Owners Association.
This increase in demand was caused by the weather depression which is expected to affect the Kingdom in few hours.
However, Hashem Aqel, the secretary of the association said that diesel and kerosene have also witnessed a noticeable increase in demand due to the new taxes imposed on fuel.
Meanwhile, the association said it follows up with all-weather depressions, to make sure gas is delivered to people easily.
Yesterday, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), announced a state of emergency starting Thursday until Saturday, as a deep weather depression will be hitting the Kingdom on Friday.
Nevertheless, the latest forecasts read that the polar air will quickly retreat, and weather will be stable again Friday afternoon.
