Jordanian lawmaker Mazen Qadi called for supporting the Anti-Narcotics Department to enable it to respond to the increasing number of youths using drugs in the country.

Qadi said that despite the Unit's great efforts to combat drug-use, and the armed forces' attempts to stop the smuggling of drugs into the Kingdom, many Jordanian youths continue to use them.

He added that it isn't just the Department's job to fight drugs, but that a national plan must be drawn to find a way to stop youths from using drugs.
