On Wednesday, the Knesset approved the preliminary reading of death penalty against Palestinians executing commando operations.

52 Knesset members voted in favor of the draft law submitted by Yisrael Beiteinu, led by the minister of the occupation army, Avigdor Lieberman, while 49 opposed.

Explaining that in the wake of this vote there will be a comprehensive discussion of the law in the cabins.

Ministers Naftali Bennett, the leader of the Jewish home, Uri Ariel and Yoav Galant, and all the members of the Yahdut Hatorah bloc were absent.

The law requires military courts to impose the death penalty by a majority of two judges and not as is now followed by the full consensus of the judges.
