A Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ) flight that was set to take off from Bangkok, Thailand, to Amman, Jordan on Monday has been delayed for 19 hours and 30 minutes (and counting).
A passenger who was due to return to Amman on the delayed RJ183 flight took to Facebook to complain about the airline’s “lack of professionalism” in dealing with the ordeal.
“The lack of professionalism which our national carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines never ceases to amaze! Our flight back from Bangkok, Thailand to Amman, Jordan (RJ 183) has been delayed from 12:30 am till 8:00 pm. 19+ hours and we have yet to receive any email, SMS, text, update on the website, nothing!,” Yazzan Kakish wrote on Facebook.
Mr. Kakish told Roya that the flight is being delayed due to “technical difficulties with the aircraft.” However, he said that an official source from RJ is yet to confirm the reason behind the delay.
The frequent flyer said that many people who were due to board the same flight are currently stuck at the airport and have been left without any information by Royal Jordanian staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Roya News English was unable to reach a Royal Jordanian representative for comment.
