The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) said that it is following “with deep concern the deterioration of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and considers it extremely dangerous to use deadly violence against unarmed civilians participating in nonviolent demonstrations, violating the international humanitarian law,” In a press release issued on Saturday.

PCHR condemned the “Israeli occupation forces' uses of excessive force against the demonstrators, saying that a result of the American decision to recognize Jerusalem as an Israeli capital, which directly threatens the international security and peace.

PCHR called on the international community and UN agencies to intervene to stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation, and to work to provide international protection for the Palestinians in the occupied territories, warning that "the serious consequences of the American declaration continue because it triggers the religious feelings of Christians and Muslims around the world, not only in Palestine, which is clearly represented in the local and international reactions.
