Ghaleb Zu'bi, Jordan's Minister of Interior, headed a meeting at the Capital's Security Council on Wednesday.

The meeting focused on the most important security measures being taken in preparation for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

Mr. Zu'bi stressed the the importance of planning and implementing necessary strategies to enforce security and stability, and increase efforts when dealing with any emergencies during the upcoming period. He explained that preparing well ahead of time helps immensly with adressing the situations and eliminating them before they occur.

On the other hand, the Governor of the capital, Dr. Saad Shahhab, said that the capital and the executive and security services can work in this together in an orderly way.

He assured that all the security measures have been taken to guarantee the safety of those celebrating the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The minister listened to a proposal made by the Directors and Members of the Security Council about the security measures and their plans for organising and protecting the religious celebrations.

The Security Coucil stated that all their departments are always ready to serve the Kingdom and the citizens, and stay operating during different times and situations.

The Council praised the citizens' cooperation, which is considered the key to achieving security on various levels.
