A video is circulating on social media, showing a man attacking a taxi driver with sword, in what appears to be an excessive act of road rage.

The incident, which took place in Zarqa provine, Jordan, occured when a car and a taxi slightly clip each other’s wing mirrors as they squeezed between tight traffic.

An argument ensues between the two drivers, before the driver in the car storms out of his vehicle, before unveiling a giant sword from the boot of his car.

He then proceeds to slam the sword down on the hand of the taxi driver, before being cautioned by passersby.

The taxi driver escaped the incident with a cut and hand fracture.

A source told Roya that the mother of the attacker, who was also in the car at the time of the incident, filed a complaint against the taxi driver, claiming he attacked her.

However, video evidence proved that the mother was in fact lying, and she was charged with slander.
