A truck containing a stolen shipment of jameed was found in the Irbid city of Ramtha, after the Public Service Directorate (PSD) searched two warehouses suspected to be housing stolen goods.

According to a police source, the PSD received a lead regarding a stolen truck stocked with jameed a few days ago.

The truck and its goods were found in one of the warehouses the police raided, and all the stolen jameed was retrieved.

The perpetrator is still at large.

Jameed, a staple in Jordanian cuisine, is made of dried fermented yogurt, and is used as the main ingredient for Jordan’s national dish, mansaf.
