The State Security Court sentenced a 50-year-old man to 10 years in prison with temporary hard labour, after he planned to carry out an attack linked to the so-called Islamic State (ISIS), targeting a bus carrying General Intelligence Directorate and the Military personnel.

The court has sentenced the suspect, who has been detained since November 2016, with the felony of conspiring to carry out terrorist acts and attempting to join armed groups and terrorist organizations.

The sentence was announced during a public hearing held by the Court on Wednesday, pointing out that this is the maximum penalty for this felony.
