A Jordanian scientist and faculty member in Al Balqa Applied University, Zaid Edebat, was ranked among the most influential scientists in the world for 2017, according to Petra News.
According to the ranking released by Clarivate Analytics, a Reuters-owned and US analytics company, Edebat scored 3803 citations, and 34 on h-index; which measures both the productivity and citation impact of the publications of a scientist or scholar, for the third consecutive year, according to Petra.
Edebat is also an editor in many local and international scientific magazines, and a member in several research teams, specializing in applied mathematics.
He won the ISESCO Prize for Science and Technology in 2010 during the Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education, for his achievements in applied mathematics.
