Lego isn’t a game just for kids; adults like to take part in the fun too.

But on Saturday, 18 November, Oman broke the world’s record for the largest 3D national flag, in celebration of Oman’s 47th National Day.

Dozens of people gathered at the Avenues Mall to witness history in the making with the largest flag built from Lego blocks.

Taking the form of Oman’s national flag, the 4.1m long and 2.33m high flag earned a Guinness World Records title, with an estimated weight that was between 480 to 500kg.

It was built by a professional team of experts who started work on the project on November 16, and finished on November 18, just in time for Oman’s National Day.

A certificate was presented to Oman Avenues Mall for the feat they’ve achieved with the Lego flag.

In 2015, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts celebrated the Jordanian independence day by making a delicious Jordanian flag out of 15,000 cupcakes. What would you like to see the Jordanian flag made of on the Kingdom’s 72 anniversary?
