Security forces were able to convince a youth on Saturday not to commit suicide, after he threatened to throw himself off a telecom tower in Irbid.

The man in his twenties, climbed up the tower in the area of Aidoon and took off his clothes.
According to witnesses, the man has a criminal record, and it subjected to house arrest.

He threatened that if the police did not remove the house arrest and offer him a job opportunity he would jump.

Security forces and Civil Defense teams were later able to convince the man to retreat his decision, and subsequently investigated into the incident.
