Humans travel the world seeking knowledge, and America is one of the countries Jordanian students travel to for higher education.

In 2017, the number of Jordanians studying at US universities and other higher education institutions reached 2312 students; a record number, according to the American Embassy in Amman.

That’s almost the same number recorded by the Institute of International Education in their annual report last year.

The embassy noted that the number of dual nationality holders (American-Jordanian) studying in the US is less than 1%.

For Middle Eastern and North African countries with the highest number of students in the US, Jordan ranked in 8th place this year.

Meanwhile, around 970 American students are currently studying in Jordan (2017); a slight decrease in number from 2016.
