Alwaleed Bin Talal, a Saudi Arabian billionaire, has reportedly put his two luxury hotels up for sale in Lebanon.

The Four Seasons and Moevenpick hotels in Beirut are currently on sale through a Lebanese commercial bank, which was commissioned to find buyers, according to the Lebanese Daily Star newspaper.

Earlier this month, Alwaleed Bin Talal was arrested among dozens of Saudi figures who are currently under investigation from a new anti-corruption Saudi committee.

“It sends a message to everyone within the kingdom that MBS has a direction he intends to pursue, so you better bend the knee,” said H.A. Hellyer, an analyst with the Washington-based Atlantic Council referring to Mohammed Bin Salman

“Bending the knee isn’t simply bending the knee; it’s bending the knee as far as he wants,” he added.

Saudi Prince Mohammed, who vowed to combat corruption on all levels, will head the new anti-corruption committee. The committee was given extensive powers to investigate cases, as well as issue arrest orders and travel restrictions, and freeze assets.
