Social media users are circulating an image of King Mohammed VI of Morocco allegedly displaying his support for Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani with scarf that devotedly reads: "You might have the world for yourself, but we have Tamim for us."

Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the King of Morocco met earlier this week for talks on bilateral relations, according to the Gulf Times. The Emir reportedly welcomed the king and his accompanying delegation, expressing hope that the visit would further develop the relations between the two countries.

If authentic, the new image sends a strong message to Morocco’s ally Saudi Arabia.

This comes after a number of states, led by Saudi Arabia, cut ties with Qatar in June.

Following the diplomatic fallout, Morocco stated that it would remain neutral in the crisis and sent food aid to Qatar amidst the blockade.

Although the Moroccan government has maintained a neutral stance, Morocco's leading political party, the Justice and Development Party, has voiced its support for Qatar in the dispute.
