Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was received by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas Thursday in his headquarters.
Safadi and Abbas reviewed the latest developments in efforts to revitalize the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, developments in the region, as well as issues of mutual interest to Jordan and Palestine.
Abbas expressed his gratitude to the King and Jordan for their support of Palestine and the rights of Palestinians in independence, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders of 1967, and with Jerusalem as its capital.
The two affirmed the continued coordination between the two countries.
