A child was reported dead, while his sister got injured, after drowning in the King Abdullah Canal, in the South Shouneh area of the Jordan valley, according to a security source.

The source told Roya that both siblings were transferred to Moath Bin Jabal Hospital, where the 9-year-old was pronounced dead, and his 7-year-old sibling was in a bad condition.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances that led to the incident.
