Israeli forces prevented Palestinian farmers from picking olives on their land, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian news site WAFA.

The forces reportedly prevented dozens of Palestinian farmers from the village of Nilin from reaching their land, which is located on the Israeli side of the separation barrier.

This is despite the farmers having special Israeli permits to enter the area, according to WAFA.

Palestinians are required to obtain entry permits if their land is cut off by Israel’s separation wall, and cannot enter their lands for any purpose other than work or residence.

Palestinians are regularly denied entry to their land by Israeli forces during olive harvest seasons, and there have been several incidents in which Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinians while picking olives.
