The Kuwaiti lawmaker Marzouq Al Ghanem had slammed the Israeli representatives during Inter-Parliamentary Union talks in Saint Petersburg, over the latter’s comments on imprisoned Palestinian lawmakers.

“This represents the most dangerous type of terrorism, the terrorism of the state,” Al Ghanem said during the discussion about Palestinian lawmakers arrested by Israeli forces.

“You should grab your bags and leave this hall as you have witnessed the reaction of every honorable parliament around the world,” he said addressing the Israeli delegation, according to Kuwait Times.

“Leave now if you have one ounce of dignity, you occupier, you murderer of children.”

The Israeli delegation left the meeting following the remarks, with several other parliaments in the midst of applause.

The Kuwaiti delegation successfully won support of an item Rohingya Muslims, MP Mohammad Al-Dallal stated in a press release, according to Kuwait Times.

Further gratitude was expressed by the Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, to Ghanem for his speech, who thanked Ghanem for his forceful stance.

The Inter-Parliamentary Union talks is held twice a year, consisting of 173 member countries, aiming to foster contacts among lawmakers. It involves parliamentarians, regardless of political views and country relations.
