Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the Palestinian reconciliation agreement signed by Fatah and Hamas earlier on Thursday in Cairo by an Egyptian mediation.
“We welcome the understanding reached today between our Palestinian brothers,” said the ministry in a press release.
“As Turkey, we will continue our support to all our Palestinian brothers to successfully advance Palestinian national reconciliation process, which we see essential for regional peace and security,” the press released continued.
A Palestinian reconciliation was signed at the Egyptian intelligence headquarters after two days of intensive talks ending a decade-long split.
