A 17-year -old spent two nights stuck on a cliff side in Karak, south of Amman, only to be rescued by coincidence on Saturday, Gerasa news has reported.

Hammam Btoush’s nightmare started on Thursday at noon, after Btoush wandered in a rural isolated area, well known among locals for it’s rough terrain and steep cliff ridges.

Btoush fell down and found himself stranded along the steep cliff side.

After a 48 hours ordeal without food and water, Btoush was found by coincidence, when one of his relatives spotted him on the cliff ridge Saturday evening and informed his family and civil defense.

Civil defense came shortly after and brought the teen to safety.
