Queen Rania Al Abdullah headed the annual board meeting of the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) on Monday to discuss the foundation’s future projects.

The JRF Director General, Enaam Barrishi, reviewed the guidelines followed by the foundation in cooperation with local partners and its programs over 2018, including the Jordan River Community Empowerment Program (JRCEP) and Jordan River Child Safety Program (JRCSP), according to the office of her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah.

The meeting was also attended by Board of Trustee members Amin Khlifat, Sa'ed Karajah, Suzanne Afanah, Tarik Awad, Taima Khoury Kawar, Reem Goussous Fakhoury, and Dr. Nawal Faouri.

The foundation is implementing a number of projects aimed to increase employment rate, in addition to plans aimed to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) arranged in cooperation with local and global organizations.

Barrishi also shared with her Majesty the milestones achieved by the foundation in many aspects, including saving children and expansion plans to be achieved by the foundation.

JRF is a non-governmental organization with a focus on child safety and community empowerment. It was established by Queen Rania in 1995 and aims to provide solutions to some of Jordan’s most pressing economic challenges, incorporating prevention and intervention models for child safety and protection.
