The Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Ya’arob Qudah, headed a delegation representing the public and private sectors on a trip to Lithuania to discuss ways of boosting ties between the two countries, specifically in the economic sector, Petra reported.

During the visit, Qudah met a number of Lithuanian ministers, where they discussed potential ways of increasing trade exchange and investment opportunities in the Kingdom, as well as holding several meetings with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

The Jordanian-Lithuanian Business Forum was held on the sidelines of the visit, during which ministers discussed economic cooperation between both countries.

At the forum, Qudah told attendees that Jordan had “transformed its economic and social challenges into investment opportunities,” according to The Jordan Times.

The visit came following King Abdullah II’s visit to Lithuania last year, when he met the Lithuanian President, Dalia Grybauskaitė, and discussed bilateral cooperation and ways to boost Lithuania’s investments in the Kingdom.
