Six tonnes of expired rice were destroyed on Monday by the Ma’an Directorate of Health, according to the Ma’an's Mayor Akram Kreishan.

The truck that was found carrying the rice was seized and transferred to the authorities for further investigation.

Different types of goods have been seized and destroyed by the government in recent weeks, in an attempt to provide quality foodstuffs for Jordanian citizens.
