Parliament received on Monday, 150 tablet computers for use by MPs in a grant from the European Union. This was done in an effort to achieve a more environmentally-friendly “paperless” parliament.

Atef Tarawneh, Speaker of Jordan's House of Representatives, said that this would make MPs’ jobs easier by, among other things, making schedules available to them instantaneously. He hopes MP policy will continue to develop in line with current technologies.
