Ahlam justifiably compares her face to the moon. Sheer radiance.
Ahlam justifiably compares her face to the moon. Sheer radiance.

Ahlam al-Shamsi tweeted what seems to be an obvious flaw in Apple's new iPhone X, announced to raving (mediocre) reviews a few days ago.

The Emirati singer takes on Apple's Face ID, a feature which replaces the iPhone X's fingerprint scanner with facial recognition technology, allowing one to unlock their phone by looking into the front camera:

“I wanted to buy the new iPhone, but how can I guarantee safety if someone points my phone to the moon and unlocks it?” she tweeted.

Comparing one's face to the moon is a compliment in Arabic, which in the case of Ahlam is either confidence of narcissism.

Indeed, Ahlam addresses the poorly thought concept of the iPhone X’s Face ID, by comparing her unparalleled beauty to a powdered, crusted surface full of craters and awkward rock formations.

Some sources confirmed that following Ahlam’s tweet, Apple’s new campus was put in a frenzy. Apple is allegedly withdrawing the launch of its latest iPhones and reconsidering its new line entirely.
