This Turkish “super grandpa” - as nicknamed by his friends - is proof that age is just a number and that you can do whatever you set your mind to.

At 61, Mohammed Diniz went to university for the first time in his life.

Today, he is 77-years-old and after 16 years of hard work, he has four university degrees under his belt, reported Anadolu Agency.

Diniz left school after middle school and taught himself to speak Russian and German. He worked as a translator using his trilingual skills, before finishing high school later in life.

Super grandpa told Anadolu Agency that he passes university exams with much ease, adding that he chose to study at the Open University because he was committed to working for a number of different charities.

Knowledge is power

Diniz has a Bachelor's degree in each of these subjects: office management, trade, finance and Turkish language and literature.

Now, he is looking to study law, and says that he is determined to dedicate his life to studying until the end of his days.

“Don’t get bored, don’t despair and always work hard,” Diniz advised today’s youth.

As for his peers, Diniz told them not to waste their time in cafes, and not to die of a heart attack while playing cards.

Diniz’s ambitions are never-ending, saying that he dreams of opening a school that would take care of teaching underprivileged children for free.
