The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) sent 15 tonnes worth of humanitarian aid to Yemen with the assistance of the Jordanian Armed Forces, as per King Abdullah’s instructions.

Rajab Zbeideh, a JHCO official, said that a special envoy from the JHCO will accompany the planes headed to Yemen, in coordination with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, to assure the material is distributed to medical authorities in the war-torn country.

Ahmad Omrani, Yemeni ambassador to Jordan expressed his gratitude to the King, and said that this initiative is proof of the King’s concern with Yemeni plight.

The JHCO had previously sent humanitarian aid to Yemen in 2015 with two planes loaded with 30 tonnes of relief material and food.
