An eight-year-old Palestinian girl was hit and killed by an Israeli settler vehicle in the Nablus district of the occupied West Bank, Saturday, Ma’an news reported.

According to Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri, the child was hit around noon on Route 90 in the Jordan Valley area of the West Bank.

Palestinian medical sources told Ma’an that the girl was run over by an Israeli settler's vehicle.

It is not clear if the driver had fled or remained at the scene.

There have been a number of incidents involving Israeli settlers hitting Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territory, and cases are usually treated by Israeli security forces as accidents, even when witnesses claim the car rammings were deliberate.
