Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Freihat, made an official visit to Pakistan, where he met Pakistani president Mamnoon Hussain, who awarded the Lieutenant General the Nishan-e-Imtiaz -the Pakistani Order of Excellence-, the highest honour given to any civilian in Pakistan.

Freihat met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to review matters of mutual interest for Jordan and Pakistan.

The Chairman also met with his Pakistani counterpart, Zubair Hayat, with whom he discussed methods of fighting terrorism and the joint coordination between the two countries.
