5 suspects killed in second terror attack today in Spain

Six civilians and a police officers were injured when a car drove into them early in Cambrils today, in Spain’s second terrorist attack in one day, according to Reuters.

The vehicle the suspects were used in the attack overturned, and the men in it were dispatched by Catalan police. All five suspects were killed.

The suspected Islamist militants were reported to have worn fake explosive belts when confronted by the police.

The Police say that the situation in the southwestern resort of Cambrils is under control, according to BBC.

Yesterday, a van drove into a crowd in Barcelona, killing 13 and injuring dozens. The attack was claimed by ISIS.
